After my Assassin’s Creed 2 hands-on with Patrice Désilets over at Ubisoft’s Sydney headquarters, I later had the opportunity to review the game for NetGuide magazine.
Playing the game in the comfort of my own home, and not (badly) in front of the game’s creative director was a lot less nerve-racking. What’s amazing about the Assassin’s Creed series is just how much each game improves over the last. Whilst Assassin’s Creed was a very intelligetnly written game, it only really served as a prelude to the incredible gaming experiences that were to come.
Check out this bit of Halo 4/ Forza 4 news from yesterday (that got lost in my inbox).
The developers at Turn 10 Studios, creators of the highest-rated racing franchise of this generation and 343i have partnered together to create an incredible Halo fan experience with the inclusion of the iconic Warthog in Forza Motorsports 4’s breath-taking new Autovista experience. Designed to showcase and offer an unprecedented interactive experience with some of the world’s most iconic vehicles, Autovista lets players walk around, interact and learn about vehicles in a way no other game can. Fans who pick up Forza Motorsport 4 will be treated to a first look at the Halo 4 model Warthog and an interactive experience narrated by none other than the voice of Cortana. Forza Motorsport 4 releases in NZ on Oct. 13. Continue reading Warthog in Forza 4?→
All around the world Kinect units sit alone atop TV screens collecting dust.
We all want to love Microsoft’s motion controller, but we know that it is really just a piece of shite that we’ll never really need. Leaping about like a fairy is all well and good if you are a thirteen year old girl but not OK for a 40-year-old gamer.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been a long time coming. For a sequel to what was considered to be such a seminal game back in 2000, an eleven year wait is a bit too long.
I’ll be honest and say that Deus Ex wasn’t on my games radar. I played a bit of the last one back in the day, but it didn’t do a lot for me, which is weird ‘cos I was right into the whole conspiracy thing back then.
The European Gamescom 2011 expo is currently underway in Cologne, Germany.
The expo is a great opportunity for publishers to show off their tent-pole games that are being released in time for Christmas. I’m going to be adding trailers, videos and comments over the weekend as I come across them. I’m starting off with the incredible Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception demo and the trailer to Ezio Auditore’s final outing in Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
