New site demanding release of imprisioned ARMA 3 Devs

Free the Bohemia two!

Apart from when I wade into the video game violence debate, I don’t really get the chance to go all political and get upset when writing about games.

I’ve been following the plight of two employees of game developer, Bohemia Interactive. The two may or may not have been doing a bit of field research for the upcoming ARMA 3 game whilst on holiday in the Mediterranean.

It seems that the global superpower than is the bankrupt state of Greece is flexing its military might and taken offense at the two Czech developers, Ivan Buchta, and Martin Pezlar, loitering around “military installations”. Come on, really. Where the Greek concerned that they would photograph their top secret, state-of-the-art hardware. I doubt it. I bet that their are ten year old’s playing with more sophisticated military hardware on the streets of Baghdad than that which the Greeks have under lock and key.

Whilst the rest of the world is off fighting terrorists and the like, our Greek friends are bullying video game programmers. Thank fuck it’s the Americans that decide who goes to Guantanamo Bay and not the Greeks.
